Pressure Vacuum Breakers

Pressure Vacuum Breakers (PVB) consists of an internally loaded check valve, a loaded air inlet valve, two resilient seated shutoff valves and two resilient seated test cocks for field testing and maintenance. A PVB can be used to protect against either a pollutant or a contaminant but it may only be used to protect against backsiphonage and must be installed 12 inches above all downstream piping and outlets.
